Managing attendance is one of the key HR tasks in every organization. To make this easier, I have created a custom Attendance Tracker Template 2025 in Excel, which is simple, professional, and suitable for all types of teams.
Below is a complete sheet-by-sheet guide on how to use this Excel file.
1. Employees Sheet
This is the master sheet where you add all employee details.
- Employee ID (unique number for each employee)
- Employee Name
- Joining Date
- End of Probation Period
Tip: Always fill this sheet first. The same Employee IDs are used across the monthly sheets and totals.
2. Monthly Attendance Sheets (Sep–Dec)
Each month has its own attendance sheet (in this version: September to December 2025).
How to Use:
- Every row belongs to one employee (linked with Employee ID).
- Each column represents a day of the month.
- Enter attendance codes daily:
- P → Present
- A → Absent
- H → Holiday
- S → Sick Leave
- W → Half Day
Automatic Calculations at the Bottom:
- Total Working Days (count of weekdays)
- Leave this month
- Present Days this month
- Absence this month
- Attendance %
